Hire a Mom

Moms are fantastic at knowing that you MUST have a strategic plan, and also there are times you need to JUST GET SHIT DONE.
It's not just moms, parents in general have strategic plans for the day, week, year. They have plans for vacations, sports season, dance recital week, you name it.
But they also know that when you are in the thick of it, there will be times that the strategy isn’t flushed out and you need to JUST GET SHIT DONE.
This is why I 100% believe that having moms (and dads) on your team adds a different level of execution. There is compassion, empathy, and also a bit of tough love. They know how to sit in it for minute, and then pick themselves back up and get to work.
So the next time you are interviewing a woman, espeically one with a resume gap that you think is child related, think about this. Do you need someone with ability to SIMULATANEOUSLY create a plan and also get shit done?
